There’s always a nervous anticipation at the start line of 29029. Big things are in store for you on this mountain, but to get there you’ll have to climb a big mountain.
You’ve done the training. You’ve listened to the incredible speakers and coaches. You are ready for this challenge.
It’s time to climb.
As you climb through the forest, you’ll quickly realize that this is the perfect place to find yourself. There’s something poetic about pushing yourself further than you ever thought possible while surrounded by the natural wonder of the woods.
Lean into the forest. Notice everything happening around you. Breathe in the fresh air. Notice the mist, lingering in the trees. Notice everything happening inside of you. Who are you really? Who do you want to become?
The answers may not be there yet, but the longer you spend on this mountain, the clearer they will become.
You’re never alone on a 29029 mountain. Even when you’re hiking solo, you’re sharing the trail with the spirit of 29029. The entire community, past and present, thousands of people strong, is with you in spirit, willing you forward and upwards towards your goals.
Of the thousands-strong 29029 community, over 250 of them are here on the slopes. Fellow participants, volunteers, coaches, and 29029 staff share something in common: the desire to help you achieve what you set out to do.
Lean into this community. You’ll achieve more than you ever thought possible, and you’ll make 250 new friends along the way.
Classic west coast fog hangs in the air, caught up in the trees at mid-mountain. To attain a summit, you’ll climb right through the middle of it.
Ascending out of the mist into the clear air above the clouds means you’re that much closer to your goal. You’ve climbed above the clouds, but you can’t stop now - you still have to climb to Everest!
Climb above the clouds.
Summit.
Get on the gondola to ride down.
Repeat.
Change is in the air in Whistler. The lush, green forest you’re climbing through turns more and more colorful the higher you go. Fall is almost here and the foliage is starting to change.
But the plant life isn’t the only change happening on this mountain. You - the 29029 participants - are changing too. With each step you take, you get a little bit closer to a new version of yourself. New confidence, new friends, new experiences, new perspectives, and new self-belief all await you at the top.
But to get there, you have to keep climbing.
